What the work involves
Most of what we build sits against systems that already exist and cannot be rewritten - an insurer’s claims estate, a bank’s internal tooling, a product with a decade of history behind it. That shapes the job. You will spend more time on interfaces, permissions, retries and evidence than on prompts.
It also means the governance is not paperwork. Every agent we ship follows Propose–Decide–Execute: an agent may only write a proposal with its evidence attached, a named person records the decision, and a separate layer carries out approved work. Engineers here are expected to have an opinion about where that boundary belongs, and to say so when a design puts it in the wrong place.
